Redefine Classic Cheeseburger

PREPARATION

  1. Burger Relish: Combine all ingredients into a bowl and mix until combined, adjust seasoning with salt and freshly cracked pepper.
  2. Cooking / Assemble:
  • Heat grill (BBQ) / frying pan over medium-high heat (adding the oil). Cook the burgers for 3 mins on each side (season with salt and pepper), until they are nicely browned and cooked through. Top with cheese and cover with a cloche or lid to allow the cheese to melt.
  • While the burger is cooking, take the burger buns and toast. Add burger relish to each side of the bun. Add lettuce, sliced gherkin, tomato and onions to the bottom of the bun.
  • Once the cheese has melted on the burger, place the top of the bun onto the burger patty and cover with cloche or lid for an additional 30 seconds. Remove and place onto the bottom of the bun

1 Head Gem lettuce, washed

½ Onion, sliced

1 Beef tomato, sliced

60g Gherkins, sliced

120g Burger relish

Burger Relish

60ml Vegan mayonnaise

20ml Ketchup

10ml Sriracha sauce

2g Dill, finely chopped

20g Gherkins, finely chopped

40g Shallots, finely chopped

Salt & cracked black pepper
